I have long been a fan of this delectable food from the Middle East. Most weekends I can be found cooking and trying out new recipes from my many Middle Eastern cookery books.
My love of this cuisine started 25 years ago when my parents moved to the Middle East and every holiday and break from uni and beyond were spent travelling to and from London to Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Coming from an Italian family, we have always had a love of food and family time (best combined), so going out as a family to eat and try new foods was a common occurrence. Middle Eastern food always reminds me of those scorching summer holidays and the joy of finding new and exciting flavours on a plate.
